19th Century Chinese Wood Sectional Box

Item Details

A 19th century wood box with colorful enameled sections . The box is decorated with gilt painted floral and leiwen meander motif . When the lid is removed, it opens to reveal four triangular and one square removable enameled trays. Colorful scenes depicting the Sanxing deities adorn the trays and the versos are marked, ‘China’.

Condition

Overall the box is in good shape, consistent with age. The lid has a crack in the top, but it has not separated.
