Country French Provincial Desk With Chair

A nice country French Provincial desk and chair, possibly by Guy Chaddock from the Melrose Collection but no maker’s tag is present. The desk is made of mixed light woods featuring raised inset panels throughout, an inset paneled top and tapered cabriole legs. The desk is designed with a center drawer and two smaller drawers to the sides with scrolled apron. It has a light natural finish with dark highlights and intentional distressed marks to create an aged look to the piece, made with machine dovetailed joinery. The high back chair compliments the desk with the same color and leg design and is custom upholstered in a light green with small pink diamond dotted pattern with double cord trim.
