Trouvailles Furniture Gilt and Gesso French Style Wall Mirror

Item Details

A late 20th-century gilt and gesso wall mirror with French style moulding by Trouvailles Furniture, MA. Gesso moulded flowing drapery curls through stylized hooks and flows down the side of the mirror. A muted red-orange color band appears between the areas of gilding. A Trouvailles label is present to the verso.

Condition

- gesso chips apparent throughout; gilding has shows amateur repairs with gold-toned paint filling in spots of loss; marks and scratches present throughout.
