Chippendale Style Mahogany Secretary With Bookcase

A mahogany secretary desk with bookcase in the Chippendale style. This item features a broken pediment with flame finial over the bookcase. The bookcase features two glass-paned doors with wooden fretwork which conceal two glass shelves and lighting. The drop-front of the secretary features a mahogany flame veneer and single brass pull with escutcheon and batwing backplate. The interior has multiple compartments and drawers with a fan-pressed center cabinet area. The base of the secretary features four wave-front dovetailed drawers in the same veneer; each has two brass bail pulls and a center brass escutcheon, all with batwing backplates. It sits on claw-and-ball feet.
