Chinese Brass Champlevé Style Incense Burner

A vintage Chinese brass champlevé style incense burner. This piece features a figurine to the cover of Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara), the bodhisattva of compassion. She is represented standing on top of a dragon with a circle halo around her head. There are phoenix shaped handles at either side and multicolored design around the body. The designs depicts birds, foliage, white dragons, and red rising suns. The burner rests on four scrolled legs with guardian lion shaped heads. It comes with a stepped base decorated with white scrolls, red lotuses, and a pierced center flower medallion. The underside is stamped with a Qianlong reign mark, however, it was produced in the mid-20th century. It comes with two stamped certificates in Chinese.
