A vintage ink drawing with watercolor white on paper of Ted Williams (1918-2002) as a shark, by Willard Mullin (1902-1978). This realistic cartoon depicts the Boston Red Sox pro baseball player’s face on the body of a massive shark, surrounded by other tiny players on fishing hooks, as bait. The work is signed in ink to the lower left, and is presented under a white mat with a silver tone liner and glass, in a silver tone frame, with a hanging wire affixed to the verso.

Condition

- approximately 10" W x 5" H piece cut from upper left of paper; tear to lower right edge of paper; toning and foxing to paper; frame finish is worn to upper right and left, with scratches and wear.

- measures frame; paper measures 17.25" W x 19.25" H.
