Erte Serigraph on Silk "The Nile"
Item Details
A serigraph on silk, titled The Nile, by listed artist Erte (1892 – 1990). This work depicts an Egyptian woman adorned in traditional clothing and headdress surrounded by a protrusion of patterned feathers, which lift her at the center against a black background. The patterns are mirrored in a colored border featuring blue, cream and purple tones. To the lower corners of the composition is an in plate and handwritten signature. The work is presented in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- light stains and marks to lower part of scarf; wear to finish of frame; backing paper torn to edges.
