A Walter Lee Cornelison signed Bybee Pottery bowl. This unusually large, nearly fifteen inches wide white bowl is initialed ‘WLC, Bybee’ on the underside and dates to the mid to late 20th century. Cornelison was the fifth generation to own and run Bybee Pottery which was located in the small town of Bybee in southeastern Madison County in Kentucky. The pottery began in the early 17th century and existed in the same log buildings for over two centuries.

Condition

- craquelure to the glaze inside and out; rings are visible on the inside from when it was made; natural imperfections to the inside and out.
