A mid-century etching on paper by Brunet. The piece, titled Beguinage in Bruges, Belgium, depicts a Belgian clergy housing complex in muted hues of brown, black, cream and green. The print is signed ‘Brunet’ in graphite to the lower right; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is matted in cream and presented under glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes an SZL label with information about the artist, work and process.

Condition

- to Fair; toning and foxing to print; large stain to lower left corner of mat; soiling, foxing and discoloration throughout mat; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; wear and scratching to frame finish; tears, labels and writing to frame’s backing paper.
