Vintage Japanese Gouache Painting on Silk
Item Details
A gouache painting on silk. According to seller, this is a Japanese painting from the 1950s. This landscape work depicts a man carrying a fishing pole and net across a foot bridge with a village to the right, a garden arch and pagoda to the left and a mountain in the background. The piece is stamped in red ink to the lower right corner. It is presented behind a black mat, under glass in a wooden bamboo-like frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- light staining throughout mat; minor wear to frame; small tears to backing paper; writing and framing sticker to verso.
