Japanese Showa Era (1926-1986) Haori in Orange Rinzu Silk
Item Details
A Japanese Showa Era (1926-1986) haori (short jacket) in orange and gold rinzu silk having a pattern of maple leaves and various blosoms, some outlined in gold couching. The garment is lined at the back in a coordinating orange and gold floral silk. The haori falls straight and open at the front with the traditional wide, long sleeves. The haori was purchased in Japan by the collector.
Condition
The haori is in very good vintage condition, it has been stored properly, folded flat in a rice paper sleeve.
Dimensions
The garment measures 25" from shoulder to shoulder and the length is 41". The sleeves are 25" in length and the bust measurement is approximately 22"
