Two Chinese Porcelain Vases and Monkey Teapot
Item Details
A collection of two Chinese porcelain vases and one monkey teapot. The similar porcelain vases feature a flared rim, narrow neck with a bulbous base and small foot. They are designed with a yellow glaze, blue grape leaf designs, a white cartouche with blue florals, and double blue glazed handles. The teapot, or possible water dropper, depicts a monkey sitting on a long melon, with a removable lid in the shape of a hat. The monkey is finished in the same tones and colors as the vases. They are marked ‘Made in China’ in both Chinese and English. All feature an intentionally crazed glaze.
