Item Details
A wood carving of Ganesha, the Hindu elephant-headed deity. This colorfully-painted piece depicts Ganesha sitting on on a lotus flower, his left hand held out in the pātaka gesture. The carving has a line of text to the verso. There are no identifiable maker’s marks.

- light surface wear to piece; chip to upper part of verso; would benefit from cleaning;
