Late Meiji Bronze Japanese Urn

Item Details

A fine late Meiji period bronze urn, possibly an umbrella stand, made in Japan in the period of 1868-1912. The tall metal vase features a flared rim, figural dragon handles, avian and floral panels, and an ornate tiered base. The vase is not marked.

Condition

- several chips to metal around rim, scuffs and scratches throughout; metal tarnishing.
