An Egyptian style acrylic painting on papyrus by S. Gharib. This painting depicts a traditional wall scene featuring rows of figures standing in profile, with boats and stylized animals, surrounded by hieroglyphs in columns. This assemblage is framed by a larger, gold tone elongated figure bending around the rectangular composition, standing on more columns of hieroglyphs. The work is painted on a blue ground with stars, and is signed to the lower left margin. This painting is presented floating between two panes of glass in a wood frame with metal hoops to the verso for wall mounting.
