An oil painting on canvas after Vincent Van Gogh’s Cottages. This painting reimagines the 1883 composition with dark tones, rendering the structures in a silhouette as they protrude a plumage of smoke from each chimney against a pale sky. To the lower right corner of the composition is an etched, illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a stained wooden frame with affixed hanging wire and artist credit, in addition to the date it was created (2000), to the verso.
