Von Williamson Oil Painting "Mucky Spring"

An oil painting on canvas titled Mucky Spring by Indiana artist Von Williamson (1924 – 2002), dated circa 1973. Signed by hand to the lower left corner, and created with the use of a palette knife, the abstract painting depicts house and trees in a barren landscape. The painting is mounted in a gold tone and black carved wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes, the title of the piece, name of the artist and the creation date are present to the verso of the frame. Williamson is best known for his paintings of midwestern landscapes.
Condition
- slight yellowing to varnish; stains to linen liner; wear to finish of frame.
