A circa 1960s copy of The Audubon Folio: 30 Great Bird Paintings, originally published by Harry N. Abrams. The set contains twenty-six unsigned offset lithograph prints on paper after wildlife illustrations by listed American artist John James Laforest Audubon (1785-1851). Prints include Passenger Pigeon, Great Blue Heron, Little Screech Owl, Wild Turkey, Arctic Tern, Carolina Parrot, Trumpeter Swan, Belted Kingsfisher, American Flamingo, Blue Jay, Cardinal Grosbeak and more. The works are presented unframed inside a paper folio cover.
Condition
- the set is missing four of its original thirty prints; the set is missing its accompanying text by George Dock; all prints are presented unframed; wear, corner creasing and small tears to edges of paper and folio; foxing and toning to prints, especially to edges.
