Cast Metal Reproductions After Frederic Remington "Rattlesnake" and "The Cowboy"

A pair of cast metal sculptures after pieces by Amercan sculptor and painter Frederic Remington (1861-1909) including Rattlesnake and The Cowboy. Rattlesnake depicts a horse rearing up at the sight of a snake, his rider clinging clinging with one hand to the reigns and with the other to his hat. This bronze tone piece is inscribed with a facsimile of the artist’s signature and is presented on a green slab with a plaque reading ‘Rattlesnake By Fredric Remington’ to the front edge. The Cowboy_, of a horse and his mustached rider, is inscribed with a signature and has a metal plate to the underside indicating that it was manufactured by The Franklin Mint, and includes text reading ’_The Cowboy An Official Issue of the Frederic Remington Art Museum.’ This piece is presented on a wooden stand.
Condition
- “The Cowboy” is removable from its stand; some nicks and wear to finish.
