Sandu Liberman Limited Edition Artist's Proof Lithograph on Paper "Two Brothers"

A circa 1970s limited edition artist’s proof color lithograph on paper by listed Romanian artist Sandu Liberman (1923-1977). The piece, titled Two Brothers, depicts two young boys in early 20th-century attire. The print features warm hues of yellow, brown, orange, green and mauve. It is an adaptation of another almost identical work by Liberman titled Two Boys Smoking. The piece is signed in graphite to the lower right and numbered as ‘54/200 A.P.’ to the lower left. It is triple matted in green, yellow and off-white and presented in a dark stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes a certificate of authenticity from Royal Art, Ltd. noting the piece as registration number ‘79 64444’.
