A pair of chromolithographs on paper after original watercolors by Kyd, the pseudonym of Joseph Clayton Clarke (Brtish, 1857-1937). These depict caricature illustrations of characters by Charles Dickens including Sergeant Buzfuz from Pickwick Papers and Mrs Sarah Gamp from Martin Chuzzelwit. Each is signed in the plate and presented unframes, mounted with a double mat of cream and brown.

Condition

- some toning on images and matting; one print with matting does not have a protective sleeve.

Dimensions

- measures matting of Sergeant Buzfuz with a visible print of 4.5" W x 6.5".
