An East Asian gouache painting on silk of a smoking elder. This lightly-rendered image depicts an older figure on a blue ground, an open book at their elbow, smoking from what appears to be a water pipe. This painting is signed and stamped to the upper right corner, and is presented under glass in a gray wood frame with a black mat and wire for hanging.
