An antique Louis XIV style marquetry desk. This rectangular desk with shaped corners, features a decorative feather banding marquetry surface with bronze edge banding. It includes pull out writing surfaces on each end, with incredible fan shaped marquetry feather banding. Designed with gilt bronze mounts, the table apron includes bird and olive branch medallions and trim, and three pull out drawers along the apron. It includes additional architectural motifs along the veneered tapered legs, with gilt bronze mounts featuring egg and dart detailing, bell flowers, and leaves, and lower sabots. A key is included.
