A Bell System Western Electric switchboard. This switchboard is mounted in a wooden console with a desktop. The console has an attached rotary dial and telephone handset, and also includes a hands-free earpiece and microphone. A plaque above the switchboard reads ‘Bell System Made by Western Electric’, and a faded label on the switchboard reads ‘Campbell ’66’ Express, Inc. For Pickup 862-4144’.
