Two Antique Surveyors Books
Item Details
A pairing of two antique surveyors books. Books feature a nice leather binding, gilt edged pages, and gilt letters to spines of books. The first book is ’ Railroad Curves and Earthwork with Tables’ by C. Frank Allen S. B., published by Spon and Chamberlain, New York and London, in 1907. The second book is ‘Handbook for Surveyors’ by Mansfield Merriman and John P. Brooks, published by John Wiley & Sons, New York and London, in 1906. Both books are marked with previous owners name in pencil to inside of covers.
Condition
The leather is crumbling and falling apart. Some wear to edges of books are evident. The cover of “Railroad Curves and Earthwork with Tables” is splitting from the spine. Pages show some wear and yellowing from age and use.
Dimensions
Both books are approximately the same size.
