Item Details
A 1944 oil painting on board by listed American artist Charles Melohs (1908-1982). The piece, titled Passing Worlds, depicts a series of abstract imagery in vibrant hues of red, orange, yellow, green and blue, utilizing a sgraffito technique to add lines and texture throughout. The work is signed by hand to the lower left, with the title and date written to the verso. The painting is presented without glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- chipping, cracking and surface wear to frame; small abrasion with paint loss to canvas at lower left; small stickers to front of frame; tears to backing paper.
