An oil painting on canvas by listed Russian-French artist Constantin Terechkovitch (1902-1978). The piece depicts a peaceful harbor landscape scene, with small boats to the foreground and distant figures and buildings to the background. The work is signed in red paint to the lower right. It is lined in tan linen and presented without glass in a D. Matt hand-carved wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- 2.0" tear to upper right side; five small tears across lower edge with attempted repair to verso; craquelure present throughout painting; staining and discoloration to canvas, liner and frame; heavy wear, scratching and chipping to frame; canvas is buckled across top edge; yellowing to varnish; small sticker to front of frame; staining and toning to canvas verso; frame does not have backing paper.
