A pair of vintage metal mesh evening bags including one by Whiting & Davis. The Whiting & Davis bag is a gold tone metal mesh frame bag with gold tone mesh tassels draping down the front and ending in teardrop shaped beads. This bag is carried by single strap handle that was in vogue in the early twentieth century. The silver tone mesh handbag has silver plating to the embossed frame over a base metal. This bag has a single metal chain hand strap and is unmarked.

- silver tone bag: some tarnishing, missing lining
- gold tone bag: missing lining, some finish loss, in particular to the frame
