Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Sarouk area rug. This Persian wool rug features a deep red field populated by floral palmettes, vases, and lancet leaves in a palette of cream, taupe, black, dark blue and pink. The field is enclosed by compound borders including a herati primary border and a floral guard border. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with wool warp fringe at either end. It is tagged on the reverse.
