Power-Loomed Capel "Sultan" Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A power-loomed Capel Sultan wool area rug. This Turkish-made rug features a neoclassical diamond-lattice pattern containing damask-like foliate shields and strings of florals over a cream-colored field. Framing the field are six borders, including latticed florals. The palette is cream, sage, camel, navy, and crimson. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with tan applied fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
