A machine made Adana Chinese area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of black, powder blue, taupe, and white that sits on top of an ivory field. The field is populated by floral patterns with vases and flowers along each spandrel and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a pattern of vines and floral palmettes in a complementary palette. The rug has an overcast edge with a wool fringe and is marked to the reverse ‘Adana, Fine Oriental Design Rugs Superior Quality’.
