Antique Kestner German Porcelain Head Doll
Item Details
An antique German bisque head doll on a composition body marked JDK with sleepy blue glass eyes and a human hair wig. This doll has a sweet hand painted face with lashes painted above and below the eyes rosy cheeks and a parted mouth expression. The body is a bent leg designed body with jointed hips and shoulders with individual fingers and wears vintage cotton clothing including a long dress, bonnet and slip with hand knitted modern booties. Circa early 1900’s.
Condition
- wear and soiling to the wooden body showing repairs and repainting work along with some cracks to the paint. Body is vintage but may not be original.
- cracks to the paint to the eyelids
- wig hair is thin
