A 2005 mixed media work on paper and wooden board by artist Carl Van Brunt. The piece, titled Mom, features a giclée print backdrop on paper, depicted with overlapping floral and geometric designs in hues of purple, teal, yellow and white. The print features three-dimensional applied accents that resemble fertility figures; the figures are made with clay painted in hues of blue, pink and purple. The work is mounted to a compressed wooden board with hanging wire affixed to the verso. The backing includes a label with the artist’s name, work title and medium. The verso also includes a signature in pen of ‘VB ’05’.
