A Japanese watercolor and cut painted wheat stalks on silk titled Winter. It depicts a blue landscape with mountains and trees. The main features are painted in watercolor and hand cut and painted fragments of wheat stalk are applied as details, such as the foliage of trees. The unframed work on silk is mounted on paperboard. A label to the verso reads ‘Winter (Strength, Endurance) Hand Cut & Painted Wheat Stalk on Silk’ along with Japanese characters for strength and endurance.
