An oil painting on canvas of a village harbor scene by American artist John Dymes (20th century). Portrayed with loose quick brushstrokes and suppressed detail, this impressionistic work features boats floating along the waterway winding through a coastal village. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented in an ornate gilt and gesso frame with scrolling foliate motifs, a canvas liner, and gold-tone sight edge.
