Eugenie Weinberg Mid-Century Oil Paintings on Canvas and Board

A set of three mid-century oil paintings by New York artist Eugenie Weinberg. Included is a 1954 oil painting on canvas board depicting a New York cityscape at twilight. The work features muted hues of red, blue, grey, brown, yellow, orange and cream. It is signed ‘EW 1954’ in purple paint to the lower right. The painting is presented without glass in a white wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Also featured is a 1971 landscape oil painting on canvas, depicting purple mountains and green trees set against orange scrubland and blue skies. The piece is signed ‘E.R.W. 1971’ in blue paint to the lower left. It is presented unframed on stretched canvas with a hanging wire to the stretchers and the artist’s full name written in pencil to the canvas verso. The set also includes a circa 1950s still life oil painting on canvas board depicting an aloe plant and fruit set on a brown table. It is signed in paint to the lower right with a signature that appears to read ‘EW 1951’. It is presented without glass in a brown wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- to Fair; one item is presented unframed on stretched canvas; fraying and wear to stretched canvas edges; punctures to backing paper of one frame; wear, scuffing and scratching to surface of frames, especially at edges; staining, residue and exposed nails to backing of one frame; foxing, discoloration and writing to verso of stretched canvas.
