Kaoru Kawano Woodblock on Rice Paper "Candle Light"

A woodblock print on rice paper titled Candle Light by Japanese printmaker Kaoru Kawano (河野薫, 1916-1965). The piece depicts a child holding a lit candle with a circle of light around the flame. It is signed by the artist in graphite to the lower left corner with a seal stamped above. It is presented matted behind glass in a wood frame and wired for hanging.

Condition

- some wear to the frame, some wear to the verso, toning on mat and paper, paper slightly warped.
