A 1977 oil painting on canvas by F. Phillips. The piece, titled The Chase House, depicts a rural landscape scene with a country estate shown to the background. The work features bright hues of green, yellow, blue, brown, white and purple. It is signed ‘by F. Phillips ’77’ in brown paint to the lower left, with an additional note of ‘The Chase House, American Artist – Chase, by F. Phillips’ written by an unknown hand to the frame backing. The painting is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
