Vintage Circa 1950s Evening Dresses Including Howard Greer

An assortment of women’s vintage prom and evening dresses. This collection of gowns includes a circa 1950s pale green strapless dress with rosettes and seed bead embellishments; a sleeveless cream colored dress with a matching capelet and a rosette accent at the waist; a 1950s sleeveless red chiffon cocktail dress from Montaldo’s with a scoop back and draping along the neckline; a blush pink gown with a sweetheart neckline, a single strap and a cascading champagne floral design and a custom made black mermaid style gown by Howard Greer with a blush pink bust. Greer was well-known for his work as a Hollywood costumer and for his glamorous custom designs for clients such as Ginger Rogers and Gloria Swanson.

- some yellowing with age, loose sequins and beads, stains and spots on skirt and capelet of cream dress
