Alfredo Ricci 19th Century Watercolor

A 19th century original watercolor illustrating a scene of Rome on a bend of the Tiber River, signed in the lower left A. Ricci (Rome 1864-1889). The scene features a view of Ponte Sant’Angelo with the Castel Sant’Angelo, seen to the right. The dome of Saint Peter’s is seen in the distance. The tiny watercolor painting is presented under glass in an antique gesso over wood frame in later gold paint. Alfredo Ricci was born in Rome, his work can be found in the Galleria Nazionale d’Art Moderna, Rome.

Condition

The frame has gesso loss in the lower left corner.
