A set of four limited edition offset lithographs on paper after paintings of waterfowl. These works feature two prints after artwork used for migratory bird hunting stamps issued, which were issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1984 and 2012. Included is a print depicting wigeons, which is after a 1984 painting by William C. Morris. The piece is signed both in graphite and in plate to the lower right, in addition to being numbered to the lower left as 18,850 out of an edition of 20,400. It is framed above one of its associated 1984 federal duck hunting stamps, signed in pen by the artist. Also featured is an artist’s proof Medallion Edition print, depicting a wood duck after a painting by listed artist Joseph (Joe) Hautman (born 1956). The piece is signed both in graphite and in plate to the lower margin and numbered as 1 out of 200 artist’s proofs. It is framed above two of its associated stamps, one signed in pen by the artist, as well as a gold-tone replica stamp with the artist’s facsimile signature. The set also includes two similar prints after 1989 illustrations from the Pintails and Mallards series by wildlife artist Leland D. Schaperkotter. Each is signed both in graphite and in plate to the lower margin and numbered as 80 out of an edition of 220.
