Antique Persian Tabriz Rug Pillows
Item Details
A pair of Persian Tabriz pillows. The cover fronts of these pillows are made from fragments of a hand-knotted antique Persian Tabriz wool rug. Each of these pillows features a cutting from the rug’s border area, including part of a classic turtle pattern, with palmettes, leaves, and flowers, as well as floral meander minor border designs, in a palette of camel, vermillion, and black. Backings are cotton with zippers. The pillows are made in Turkey.

- wear includes some loss to pile consistent with previous use as a rug.
