Limited Edition Offset Lithographs After Federal Duck Hunting Stamps

A set of three limited Medallion Edition offset lithographs on paper after artwork used for migratory bird hunting stamps issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1998, 2005 and 2010. Featured is a print depicting an American wigeon after a 2010 painting by Maryland artist Robert Bealle; it is numbered to the lower left as 1 out of an edition of 200 artist’s proofs. Also featured is a print depicting two hooded mergansers after an illustration by listed American artist Mark Anderson (born 1959); the piece is numbered to the lower left as 1 out of an edition of 200 artist’s proofs. The set also includes a print depicting a Barrow’s goldeneye duck after a 1997 painting by listed California artist Robert Steiner (born 1949); it is numbered to the lower left as 220 out of an edition of 500 artist’s proofs. The Steiner print includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Steiner Prints, as well as a written artist’s inscription to the frame verso. Each work is signed in graphite to the lower right, with an in-plate signature located to the lower margin of the image. Each is matted in tan and presented in a wooden frame along with two of its associated stamps, as well as a gold-tone replica stamp with the artist’s facsimile signature. Two of the frames are protected with TruGuard UV-light-blocking glass. All frames include hanging wire to the verso, as well as a pocket with information about the artist and work.
Condition
- slight wear to frames; frames backings include pockets with information about the artists and prints; frames would benefit from cleaning.
