Joshua Spies Offset Lithographs With Commerative Stamps
Item Details
A collection of three limited edition offset lithographs after paintings by Joshua Spies titled Oldsquaws, a nickname for long tailed ducks; by Scot Storm titled Redheads; and by Ron Louque titled Snow Geese. The paintings respresented by these prints each won the Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Oldsquaw won the 2009 – 2010 contest and is signed in the plate to the lower left and by hand to the lower right and numbered 1/200 Medallion Edition A.P. Redheads won the 2004 – 2005 contest, is signed to the lower right and numbered A.P. 1/200 Medallion Edition. Snow Geese won the 2003 – 2004 contest, is signed in the plate and by hand to the lower right and numbered A.P. Ex 50/50. Each print framed with two stamps and a gold plated medallion with an image of the print. Snow Geese includes a pencil remarque of a lighthouse in the margin. Each print is mounted under glass with double mats in wood frames that are wired for hanging.
