A hand-knotted Tibetan area rug. This wool rug likely was made by Tibetan weavers in India or Nepal. It features a pattern of thin horizontal stripes in a warm palette leaning toward terracotta and including hues of orange, pale yellow, brown, crimson, purple, toffee, sage, cornsilk, and cream. Edges are overcast on all sides. The rug is tagged on the reverse.
