Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a romantic landscape. This work features a water stream populated with small boats, winding through a mountainous landscape. Rocks, trees, and overgrown foliage fill the landscape and mountains are faintly visible in the distant background. The painting is illegibly signed to the lower right. It is presented in an ornate gilt and gesso frame with acanthus leaf and foliate moldings. A frame stamp is present to the canvas verso.
Condition
- small cracks, stains, scratches, and discoloration throughout frame; minor craquelure throughout painting.
