A finely hand-knotted Tabriz wool accent rug. The rug features a large circular star medallion framed by large tear-drop shaped palmettes, having elongated chandelier pendants to each side, in a palette of teal, deep green, and black on a white field. The large, decorative spandrels repeat the elongated palmette pattern in the same colors. The field is populated by floral and vine patterns and is enclosed by a primary border featuring a pattern of florals and abstract elements in cartouches and palmettes in the field colors on a contrasting scarlet field. It has teal green guard borders with cinnamon colored vine work, and the rug has overcast edges and tied wool warp fringe.
