Item Details

A serigraph on paper as part of the Falling Man series by well-listed American artist Ernest Trova (1927-2009), executed in 1968. Depicted are three human forms in a wheel of red color upon a dark, navy blue square. Signed to the lower right and numbered edition 125 of 158. Dated 1968 to the far right. Presented under glass, housed in a chromed aluminum frame.

Ernest Trova was born in Missouri in 1927. An untrained artist, he began painting in his early twenties and found some success for the next 15 years. Trova moved towards a more post-painterly abstraction, being influenced by the likes of Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, amongst others. In the early 1960’s, Trova came into his own unique style utilizing human forms to emphasize our connection to the technological world.
