Hand-Painted Chinese Tanggu Style Drum and La Playa Bongos

An early 20th century double-sided Chinese tanggu style drum with hand-painted dragon imagery to both heads; a beater and decorative tangerine ribbon are included; and a set of circa 1960s La Playa bongos, marked ‘La Playa, Made in Mexico’ to one side.

Condition

- ranges from Good to Fair; bongos are in good condition with light surface wear, some wrinkling to label and handwriting to underside; double-sided drum is in Fair condition with splits, holes, cracks and damage to wood throughout; staining, discoloration, fading and edge wear to double-sided drum skins.
