An oil painting on canvas of a winter landscape by listed artist Bernard Gantner (born 1928). This expressionist style painting depicts two barns tucked beneath a dirt road that is surrounded by two thin trees and a textured, abstracted cluster of brush beneath a pale, pastel colored sky. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature and date, listed 1976. The painting is presented in a tiered, gold tone wooden frame with a linen liner affixed with a brass plaque etched with the artist’s name. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a sticker for the Wally Findlay Galleries.

- significant wear to finish of frame; large areas of chipping and scratches throughout; stains to linen liner; tarnish to brass plaque; punctures to backing board.
